Ian Sigalow Very Rude
Didn't look up from his laptop once. Was rude and dismissive and already made up his mind before he heard the pitch. Would have no interest in working with him as an investor.

Nice Chat
Had a chat with Kirill Sheynkman in early April. He is knowledgable, candid in his opinion. It was a truly enjoyable conversation. Kirill contributed. Collected useful feedback, despite the fact I was looking to answer somewhat different set of questions.

So Far, I'M Very Impressed
I recently pitched my seed stage company to Kirill Sheynkman. He is clearly very excited about our company, and has been very helpful to us so far. If his actions are any indication of what we can expect from Greycroft over time, they're going to be a very good value-add investor.

Great Team, Great Help
I pitched to Dana and Dan and I was impressed with their insights and feedback. They are honest, kind and encouraging. I found their feedback great and they offered some fantastic suggestions. It's still a little early in my company timeline so I didn't expect to walk away with a term sheet, but both Dana and Dan did not make me feel as if that was the case and asked great questions. I'm a fan.

Don't Trust with Confidential Information
This firm's West Coast partner disclosed some extremely confidential material that was shared. Of course there was no NDA in place - and we'd have little practical recourse even if there was. So we're left to repair the damage with one of our largest partners.

Talked with an Associate at Greycroft
The usual stuff, but didn't really get it (except from what he read from Techcrunch).

What do they want?
Our experience with Greycroft is good. They are very helpful especially in the beginning. They ask a lot of questions - and i would be ready with all the answers.
That is reasonable. Ian was especially helpful and got the finer distinctions of who we are and why we make sense in the marketplace.

The Worst VC I've Ever Dealt With: by Far!
Now usually I don't talk bad about VCs. And almost never come to thefunded to write a review. However, I feel my experience over the last few months with Greycroft needs to be shared.

Diversity of Opinion
I pitched Greycroft on several deals. Each time it was like a Rubiks cube - some walls lined up and then others didn't. I like all the folks and Dana is charming and smart and Alan can get a lot of things done in a short time.

Legend in His Own Mind
Patricof is ancient and a complete nut. And Lipsher is a young version of Patricof only with even less horsepower.

Alan Was Great
Alan Patricof continually impressed with his intelligence, savvy and the respectful nature with which he treated us as we pitched him and his firm. We didn't ultimately end up going with Greycroft as the process was going sideways and we had other, much better term sheets on the table.

Toxic Venture Capital
Alan Patricof has a reputation for being a savvy experienced venture capitalist. However, he is very difficult to deal with and has a very long track record of unstable behavior. The book "Burn Rate" has an excellent description of his behavior in the mid-90's and it's only gotten worse.

Came Very Close
They did 6 months of due diligence. Loved company, but suddenly pulled out.
