Don't Confuse the Small Fund with the Larger
The vc fund seems the stepchild of a much larger, successful hedge fund largely in energy investments, only the smaller fund has no real connection to the larger. The VC term sheet had LBO-like terms for a relatively early stage company... the worst term sheet among many we received. Definitely, definitely, definitely do references... many unsavory stories.

Pulled Out at Last Minute
Two managing directors have no knowledge of high tech sector, usually invests in slow growth commodity based businesses. Makes promises and does not deliver. If you're a high tech co. don't bother they wont understand your space. Good if you're in desperate need of capital.

Watch Out for Term Sheets
This is a typical one sided favorable term sheet organization. Be careful on the terms!
