Know What They're Looking For
It was clear to me what is their investment thesis or what they like to see. It makes a huge difference to get a 2 line email, we invest in X and you are not X.

Par for the Course Intial Interview
Applied to the Pear Accelerator, did the interview, but did not get accepted. Interview was short and casual with one interviewer over Zoom, and the interviewer asked fairly reasonable questions about product roadmap, existing traction, expansion ideas, GTM, and revenue model.

Reverse Value Added
They invest in markets where they have no expertise. It seemed like I had to teach the partners quite a bit. And they had very poor analysis and their "reference/experts" are not really well-versed and knowledgeable in the field. It is obvious that they are living in a "Stanford Bubble" and don't know how else to get expertise.
