Hopelessly Out of Touch
Carol Sands spoke at a workshop for my entrepreneurship class at Stanford. Somebody mentioned Quora and she said that she had never heard of it. Later on when a student gave her an elevator pitch, he used the word "hyperlocal", and she said that she had never heard that word before.

What a Waste of Time
Weird presentation format. You don't know the names of the people you are presenting to, so I recognized a few faces but couldn't place them. Twenty-plus people in the room, almost no reactions/questions. And they asked us back, so clearly there was interest. The founder of the Forum asked the only questions, and she was so uninformed about the internet I thought she was some wealthy woman who'd never worked.
